Day 1: Arrival at NJP / Bagdogra Airport - Phuentsholing
Meet and Greet at NJP / Bagdogra Airport and proceed to Phuentsholing. Phuentsholing is a border town in southern Bhutan and is the administrative seat of Chukha District. The town occupies parts of both Phuentsholing Gewog and Sampheling Gewog. Phuentsholing adjoins the Indian town of Jaigaon, and cross-border trade has resulted in a thriving local economy. The town had the headquarters of the Bank of Bhutan previously but shifted to Thimphu. Overnight Stay at Phuentsholing.
Day 2: Phuentsholing - Thimphu
After breakfast, complete the immigration formalities and transfer to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Thimphu is situated in the constricted, linear valley of the Thimphu River. While the surrounding hills are in an altitude range of 2,000 to 3,800 meters, the city itself has an altitude range varying between 2,248 meters. The valley, however, is thinly forested and spreads out to the north and west. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at Thimphu.
Day 3: Thimphu - Punakha - Thimphu
After breakfast, drive to Punakha / Wangdue, stopping at Dochu-La Pass (3100 m). On clear days, you will get a chance to see the Himalayan mountain ranges of Bhutan. In the afternoon, visit Punakha Dzong, built strategically at the junction of Pho Chu & Mo Chu River in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. It was the seat of government for many years until the time of the second king and was named Pangthang Dechen Phodrang (Palace of Great Happiness). Punakha is still the winter residence of the monastic body. Later, visit the Suspension Bridge and Chimmi Monastery View. After the visit, return to Thimphu. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay at Thimphu.
Day 4: Thimphu Sightseeing - Paro
After breakfast, proceed for a local sightseeing tour of Thimphu, including visits to the SAARC Building (Outer View), National Library, Handicraft Emporium, Simply Bhutan, The National Memorial Chorten, Buddha Point, Tashichodzong (The Seat Of Government), Folk Heritage Museum, Zorig Chusum School Of 13 Traditional Arts And Crafts, Buddhist Art Gallery, and Clock Tower Square. Overnight stay in Paro.
Day 5: Paro Local Sightseeing - Phuentsholing
After breakfast, proceed to visit Paro's local attractions. Today, you will visit Nya Mey Zam Bridge, Rinpung Dzong, Kichu Lhakhang, International Airport (Outer View), Tiger Nest View, and the Museum. Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.
Day 6: Phuentsholing - NJP/IXB Airport
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport for departure with sweet memories of the whole trip.
